When You Don’t Understand

When You Don’t Understand

Key Scripture:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5–6

Reflection / Message:

There are moments in life when nothing seems to make sense — when prayers feel unanswered, plans fall apart, and our strength runs thin. In those moments, faith becomes less about knowing why and more about trusting Who.

God doesn’t ask us to understand everything; He asks us to trust Him through everything. When we try to lean on our own understanding, we limit God to what we can see. But when we surrender our need for control, we allow Him to reveal the bigger picture — one that’s always painted in His perfect timing.

To trust God fully is to release the outcome. It’s to say, “Lord, even if I don’t understand right now, I still believe You’re working for my good.” That’s the kind of faith that moves mountains — not because of how strong we are, but because of how steady He is.

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7

When you can’t see the way forward, rest in the truth that He already sees the end from the beginning.

Prayer:

Lord, help me to trust You completely, even when I don’t understand what You’re doing. Teach me to lean on Your wisdom, not my own, and to rest in the assurance that Your plans are good and Your timing is perfect. Amen.
