Where to start is the hard part.
All throughout the Bible, God has used the lives of His children—those called to purpose—to fulfill His mission. And even now, He continues to do the same.
His love for the called is beyond human understanding and can never be fully described. Yet knowing this allows us to continually pursue our Father in a way that teaches us the lessons we must learn to deepen our faith.
The relationship we have with our Father is intended to be constructive, obedient, and deeply intimate. As we surf the waves of life—through both roaring storms and moments of calm—His grace consistently surrounds us. Our awareness of His presence draws us closer to the love He provides.
Intimacy with God develops over time. It reveals truth, reshapes our perception of who our Father is, and reminds us what we truly mean to Him.
We are blessed to know even a small portion of His intentions. All throughout His Word, we see that His occasional concealment of deeper meaning is often for our benefit. He gives us what He needs us to have—when we are ready to receive it—and without pursuit, we might miss it entirely.
These moments are carefully placed throughout life to fulfill His mission through us.
When we ask, “Lord, what is my purpose?” we are not asking a question of confusion but one of invitation—an invitation to draw near, to listen, and to be guided.
God’s purpose is not something we must invent; it is something we must discover through intimacy with Him.
So wherever you are today—unsure, questioning, hopeful, or ready—remember this:
You are part of His plan.
You have been chosen with intention.
And the Lord, who began a good work in you, will be faithful to complete it.
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
— Romans 8:28
Reflection Prompt:
Take a few minutes today to ask God: “What purpose are You shaping in me right now?”
Then listen. His answer may come quietly—but it will always come in love.
